  1. Hey Georgia - thanks for doing this - but the important thing you need to remember now is that a deadline is a deadline, and in order to be completely fair to all classmates, I can't then 'look again' at work that is submitted after the official deadline. Remember these two submissions (FSTS and Soundscape) are formative projects - i.e. the grade is for your learning, and doesn't go forwards to the final official grade of Year One. My point is, I won't be looking again at your Soundscapes submission because that deadline has passed and I'm not allowed to consider work that is submitted after the deadline - and this would be true of any/all students - it's not personal.

The lesson you need to take from this in preparation for your other summative deadlines (the projects that do count towards your final grades on year one) is that you need to know when you're handing in, and you need to hand-in what you've been asked and how you've been asked - no exceptions. That is why I want you to work closely with Jackie Hagan, because when you work all by yourself and don't engage so much with the course, thinks can go wrong - just as Soundscapes went wrong. Let me know if you understand the difference between 'formative' and 'summative' assessments and what I've written here makes sense to you. Send me an email :)
