With this model I think it's going to be the opposite of the space marine jetpack because this is a costume which means its going to be a softer shape and simpler, let alone its for a child.
I though the middle piece would come out slightly to further show this back shape and more character, whilst the inner part that goes behind the back would be more straight so it not pushing into the back.
I thought there should be slight hints of the intended shape but not really because a soft object is trying to depict a more rigid one.
Im thinking this and the character itself will have a lot more texturing than the space marine as it is more in the logic of it and reliant of it as thats what costumes like this do.
Im hoping this is ok to texture like this? not sure if I should change anything? I bevelled some of the edges of the middle piece but left the rest so it was still like a cushion and also deleted the faces and split things up.
Due to weighting and wear and just how wings dynamically are it made more sense to do them bit more diagonally like Alan said originally, so I decided to try and do this a little bit.
I now want to move back onto the space marine armour as it is quite hard and I need to start making more pieces, but whilst I did the other jetpack I though I might as well do this one too.
