Toolkit submission Yr1
Project 1/ Drawing
Short Reflective Statement:
I think while I have been here my Life Drawing has improved. Its become more varied and open-minded and I feel like I have been able to add more imagination and style that I didn't have before I came here. My strength is that I tried the advice to try and get something different and I tried to delve deeper than just a drawing of that thing. for example shadows, background, colour, material, medium, characterised or realistic, what parts? etc..However my weakness is to get so wrapped up in a way in which I do something doesn't allow me to think of the best method of the drawing again execution. But id say overall pretty positive.
Project 2/ Animation
https://youtu.be/jtBoXW_yzL8
Short Reflective Statement:
I think that I have become stronger when it comes to confidence with Maya and independence and the animating process I'm glad that I managed to get something I had in my head working I think the development to this final animation makes sense from the previous work leading to it but I think that this was weak in the sense that I tried to make it so simple that maybe I could have made this more impressive and pushed myself more with he skills but I was worried about time management and so I kept it within my safety net a little more than I should have. However I did get to use motion paths, surface shaders, used a torus shape I started this pretty early rather than leaving it to late which was better planned. and loops and modelling and learnt some techniques with after effects, sound and applied it. Other weakness was I should have made certain if it was lead 'lead' 'lead' and contacted sooner because by the time I had finished and requested I couldn't get hold of my voiceover. I think this is something to really really learn from. I think the idea was pretty interesting but I need to better execute the idea. ( This applies to a lot of the things I have done actually. ) id say overall pretty mediated.

With the tutorials it was a really rough start and I felt like my peers learnt or understood it better than me..I feel like I have come to a point where I may not be where I want to be yet. But I am a lot better than I was. Thats for sure. I remember techniques better now and I managed to start completing tutorials without just nodding in lesson and following mechanically. But from people in my class also and approaching them on my own although this doesn't always help when I run into problems it did help me solve some on my own I now realise the amount of help I need and the amount help I need and amount I can do if I just keep going. Id say overall..im more in the negative aspect. As I'm not what I should be. But I'm working on it. I got to go though more tutorials and in a personal aspect I have been growing.

Previz final for fantastic voyage
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6gZnpFlU90
Put together the shots and sound as close to final as I could.
Established that Arnold could be a good way to render the scenes because of the background and use of surface shaders. put the db's lower so can hear the narration...
