After This Life Drawing session I have realised I tend to draw a certain way and start with outline. To get better I am going to try and draw in ways that don't always involve this e.g. put contrast in first and try out more styles or ways to produce shapes and joints.

To get some ideas of structures, I have decided to initially look at Venice for ideas as some of the cities Italo Calvino describes take inspiration from Venice, an example of this would be Esmeralda.
